First
This being my first "official" piece of meaningless frippery, let me bring you up to speed.
Work is going well. I have been somewhat busy lately. Currently I am constructing a photo slide-show for the Marine Corps Ball. I am also coordinating a visit from Fox 11 in Los Angeles. They are producing a 30-minute feature about our training cycle. As well, I am dealing with the daily goings-on of the unit. Currently, my bosses are 1) in Mexico participating in a minor Humanitarian Assistance project and 2) participating in the "Rapid Response Planning Procedures (R2P2) exercise in San Diego.
Physical being:
a. I have found "Redline Fat Incinerator" an effective brand of over-the-counter speed. It is distributed in small blue bottles. You can find it in service stations, GNC, etc. By direction, I only drink half the bottle. I truly fear heart failure, and am working myself up to a double dose slowly. For now, my heart pounds graciously.
b. Getting into fighting shape is difficult. I try and not eat breakfast. Surfing and skating are my primary means of exercise currently, although the unit does mixed martial arts twice per week. I feel that prior to the next deployment (in Aprilish time) I need be ready for battle.
Mental state:
a. I have found myself in a relaxed state of conciousness recently. I am very well aware that time passes. There is a steady rhythm to my life and the lives of those around me I have noticed. Good luck to us! Good fortune this morrow.
Weaponry:
a. Currently in my personal armory, I maintain 1) Rambo: First Blood Part II collectible fighting knife and 1) set, nunchucks (homemade).
Throwing stars would be a great addition.
Media:
a. Bands I dig: Wolfmother, the Raconteurs, The libertines, Manowar.
Family:
a. Missy is doing well. She is robustly pregnant and glowing. Her demeanor is swift and precious. Soon, our baby will join our adventures, and for that I am stoked.
The thing I most look forward to after the child is born: putting her in a little carrying thing and going somewhere like the beach and showing off.
Bye!
